Absolut Berlin was founded in 2006 by Jacobus van Oort. Besides the pension Mr. van Oort also operated a travel agency. From this comes the name of the pension: "Absolute last minute". 

Over the years, other rooms and apartments were rented and decorated . End of 2008 Mr. van Oort chosed to return to Amsterdam. From his friends Kerstin Zimmermann and Tom Fuchs had the desire to take over the operation. Since January 2009 the small company trades under the name "Absolut Berlin Pension & Apartments GbR".

The aim of the new operators is to provide its guests a clean and comfortable, yet affordable accommodation. Business travelers they offer a local and charmant alternative to the boring chain hotels in the city. Tourists always find the best tips to attractions, current events, shopping and night life scene in the districts of Prenzlauer Berg, Mitte and Friedrichshain. 

Kerstin and Tom always manage to establish a very open and friendly atmosphere. Guests are encouraged to ask questions and give suggestions at any time.
